It's been such beautiful weather here all weekend, I am contemplating moving the office to the back yard (that only works in theory). It was so lively (as if the whole neighborhood woke up from the winter sleep) it made it almost impossible to work with all the fun going on outside. Lola got a new 16' bike with no training wheels and taught herself how to in 5 min. I couldn't believe it! Went inside to get the camera to document the process, stepped out with the camera....she's zooming back and forth. Fun!
This is my new 'ode to summer' pattern. I don't have any ideas for it yet. What do you think it could be good for?
the first one...
ReplyDeleteI'm completely deeply in love!
*_*
Is that pattern available in fabrik or paper?
If it's a yes, where?
Thx in advance for your answer.
I'd love to have some red jacket, with a rainhood, and your pattern for the inner lining... and an matching pouch, outside pattern and lining red...
ReplyDeletebeautiful, stunning, divine, delicious!!!!
ReplyDeleteahh my boys took off the training wheels this weekend as well. My 4 year old is just a maniac so it was no problem for him. My soon to be 8 year old has been fighting it until now and he did great!
ReplyDeleteI like the first pattern the best it reminds me of an old vintage fabric design. I have a hard time with titles these days too. When you design many florals and other categories its hard to come up with a new name but maybe you can do what some of the other designers do and give it a actually name like Amber or Penny! He He!
LOVE it - the first one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI also love the first one - such a nice retro feel - I would have it as wallpaper, or fabric, or just plain old printed paper.

Hi Helen!
ReplyDelete(I guess we do love our mintgreen...don't we...;)
You're ready for yet another one of those really long comments?
Good! Here we go;)..:
So, what could your new design be good for…lemme think…
AH! FABRIC…>;-)
But seriously, since you asked for our opinion:
The first one to me is an "allrounder", would work for wallpaper, wrappingpaper as well as fabric (maybe more for homedecorating than clothing)
Red/white and turquoise/red would make great fabric as well.
Yellow/brown is a little difficult to me, because I don't like the brown for summer too much (must be my middle European heritage...summer has to be colourful and green....PERIOD...;)
Last not least the lime/red/white: great colour for soft and hard plastic material such as used for bags, tablecloth, bibs or boxes and kitchenware. Little problem with the contrast of white and lime compared to the really strong red(at least on my screen).
No need to say: wonderful pattern! (I'm slowly running out of superlatives praising your work…I’m afraid I keep repeating myself)
By the way: Wow, your girl is fast. Mine took the whole day to learn how to drive without training wheels
THE END :)
LG Eva
I like the happy bird!

I'd say wrapping paper...such fun to unwrap something so spectacular :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favourite too. It'd be brilliant for: fabric, fabric, fabric. And then I'd cover every soft surface in my house with it.
ReplyDeleteThe brown and yellow version would make lovely end papers in a special book.
Cute 1950s-style summer shirts to wear with slim white peddle-pushers. Those ones that button up the back and have little cap sleeves and maybe a two inch slit at the neck, or a funky tie. OOOh yes. I can see it.
ReplyDeleteI think the 1st or 2nd would be lovely as fabric and I can see a little toddler wearing a cute jumper made out of said fabric. #3 (yellow/brown) and #5 could be lovely wrapping paper. You could also just make wallhangings out of any of these and spice up a room!
ReplyDeletePILLOWS
lovely colours-would be nice used for a number of things-cards,wrap, fabric- loads of stuff! :0))
ReplyDeleteI think this pattern is lovely and the bottom colours beautiful. I think this would look great wrapped around a lampshade in a child's room.
ReplyDeleteThe first one with the blue flowers on cream is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou and your patterns are R-A-D! Gimme More More More!!! Great colors, great prints. Envy looks good on me, don't cha think? Please don't ever stop doing what you do.
ReplyDeleteSun-brellas!! Either of the patio garden variety, or the carry to the beach variety!
ReplyDeleteThe first and last colourways are my personal favourites!
Love it, and I agree - would look fabulous on fabric.
ReplyDeleteYou must be excited about your impending trip. Wow! Good luck with all the preparations.
Those are beautiful patterns! I hope you sell them and let the world know...beauty like that should be shared and loved!!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your work! The first one is my favourite. Wrapping paper, cards, fabric, china patterns....I can see it on anything. The all red one is also gorgeous....but they are all wonderful.
