I have not been this exited about a book from my childhood since J. Otto illustrated Alice in wonderland. When one of my favorite illustrators does one of my favorite books... how could I resist?! That's a must have!Lauren Child ( an author/illustrator behind Charlie and Lola series) - made my kind of Pippi! Fun, quirky and charming:)
It's snowed so much in past couple of days that the yellow buses have been cancelled and the gang is all here today. Looks like we'll be reading some of the famous Pippi adventures today.... and maybe even tomorrow...
oh i'm so excited for this! i am ordering it for my daughter for Christmas! :)

This is great! I knew I recognized the illustrations. My (southern california raised) niece does a spot on impression of Lola!

This is VERY exciting. My fav version of Alice in Wonderland is by Australian artist Charles Blackman and I'm really looking forward to hunting this down, being a fan of Pippi from childhood and a recent convert to Lauren Child given that there is now a 2 yr old in the house. Thanks for your blog, I've only just discovered it and I'm enjoying it.
