Me and the girls have been reading through 'Pippi in the South Seas' and various 'Babar' adventures... so red haired girls and good natured elephants have been on my mind. I really love these two characters and so I started the pattern with the girls and the elephant and all the other weirdoes just grew around them. I think it looks like a busy lunch hour at the zoo:)
At the moment, I'm in the eye of a due date storm, and need to concentrate all the creative power to finish up and get to the dry land of relax. See you all on Monday:)
What a treat! I love the kids who arms are connected in a loop.
ReplyDeletefab design. i love it, especially the white background and the elephant's trunk!
ReplyDeleteoh helen, this is a fabulous pattern, the hippo and the giraffe are so funny and the little girl protecting her hair from the elephant... it's very cute!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love how everything just pieces together so nicely, like the elephant trunk above the girl, and the little frog too!

Hi Jennis:)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could advise you on a drawing board - but I don't use one and never have.
I draw with a mouse and pencil tool in Illustrator.
I wish I could be more help.
h:)
Just when I think I can't love elephants any more than I do...truly delightful!
ReplyDeletePippi is my favorite childhood character & my name is Celeste so how could I not love this pattern? So glad I discovered your work.
