I'm it...

Well... what can I say... I finally got to this post:)
Over a month ago the awesome fabric designer Tula Pink tagged me to spill the beans on seven randomly honest things about me.... and, this is how long I've procrastinated.... so, here it goes:
ONE - I love my girls more than life, but I'm not the patient motherly type.
TWO - I don't know how to drive. It's been 16 years since I've turned 16 and I still don't know how to drive. That's a major missing piece of my personal independence... but I'm just too scared.
THREE - I'm 5 feet "tall". Compact design for small space city living:)
FOUR - I love animation and own (and have seen) every Futurama, Samurai Jack and Charlie and Lola episode (and movie) ever made ... and I'm not ashamed to tell you about this:)
FIVE - I love dancing and would gladly cut the rug at any party... after a few drinks (of course:)
SIX - I have 37 coffee mugs... and I want more (it's a broken switch)
SEVEN - If I manage to live up to the age of 70 - I'm taking up pipe smocking, gin & tonic at breakfast and mural painting in the nude:) Hey.... why not?

  3. i think driving is not what it's cracked up to be anyway... get yourself a cute bike for the summer...and hopefully we'll meet up when you're 70. i'll be 80!

  4. Love your seven randomly honest things. I think it's cute you don't drive. Look at it this way, you'll never have to worry about causing a car crash, getting your oil changed, and checking your tire pressure! In fact, maybe I should stop driving?

  6. i don't drive either! i have a license and have been practicing (I'm 29) but i have never driven alone and i just can't seem to make the mental jump. part of me likes working around it (how often do i really NEED to go somewhere, and it's nice to do things like grocery shopping with my bf instead of alone) but part of me thinks i'm crazy!!!

I think Farah Fawcett did that, but she didn't wait until she was 70.
    why wait?

  9. Painting in the nude? Hmm..should try now. And, I am not the patient motherly type either, but I don't even have kids. I'm scared of them like you're scared to drive. Weird? Probably...I do love my nephew, though. Not scared of him.

  11. Great honest list.
I don't drive either... and sometimes it's easy to feel like your the only person over 30 that can't so thanks for owning up.

  12. Fun to read your honest list! It's never too late to learn to drive, you know. I'm turning 30 this year, and I'm actually taking driving lessons NOW - having my final exam in two weeks! I never thought I'd get the license, but now it feels reachable ;)

    Love your work.

  13. I'm turning 40 and I still don't drive! I don't think it is going to happen for me. When I turn 75 I will start smoking again and wear bright satin bomber jackets and have Nutella on toast every morning. Looking forward to it!
    Great post!

  14. It's so funny how you can have in common with someone apparently strager and is a thousands miles of distance. But it's very peculiar how can get to know details for a person.
Hello from Mexico City. I really love your works. They're lovely

  15. Hee hee! You're very funny. Hope you get to live to 70 - I'm sure that not driving will help a lot in getting you to an advanced age.

  16. I agree, why wait until you are 70? You could do it now and film it and play it at the national gallery as performance art! :)

  17. I learned to drive at 26! it was MUCH more scary being a passenger all those years. I can not encourage you enough to learn...

  18. Driving is over-rated, and an environmental hazard, much better ways to get around :)

  19. I've loved your blog and work for a while now but must chime in that I hope we're friends when you are 70, 'cause it sounds like a lot of fun. We're also BIG fans of Charlie and Lola! Thanks for sharing all your lovely creations.

  20. mmm, perhaps I should revise 70, I always said as soon as I hit 80 it would be pizza, fish 'n' chips, icecream and champagne 7 nights a week.

  21. It sometimes hard to admit that you dont drive. Usually when I tell people that I don't, they asume that I don't have a car, not that I don't know how. It is extremely comforting to know that I am not the only one out there that isn't gung-ho to get in that drivers seat. Thank you!
Its been 11 years since I truned 16.
