watercolour therapy . . .
It's been a cold and white January so far. I'm escaping it daily with bright and cheerful colours and fun characters. It's watercolour therapy:).

hot pink . . .
So, here we are... the shortest day of the year. Pitch black outside... and it's not even dinner time. What to do? Well, if emergency vacation isn't in your financial plans - buy some hot pink watercolour paint and go bananas. Take it or leave it - that's my best advice (for now:)...

new oil . . .
My mushroom grey (seemed like a good idea at the time) living room was the least colourful spot in my house... it looks good in the summer, when the scene in the window is green blue and yellow... but in the winter... less than cheerful. And, so, I made an oil painting to bring back the happy (that's the happy living room spirit sitting on the sofa).

apples

A new painting to show you. Apples. Like a pattern on a canvas. I think it will make some kitchen very happy one day:)Let me know if you think it's your kitchen. I was going to set up an Etsy store and sell most of my painting... but I haven't had the time or the chance.
(oil, 12X12 inches, and 3 inches deep)

captains journal...)

A densely packed day today. Margo turned 5! Half a decade. She got what she wished for - a unicorn hobby horse (I can't control everything:).... posing with it before her ballet practice.I got a much needed hair cut. Feeling a pound lighter...yeah!
The living room got a new painting (pardon the flash photography... I don't know why this couldn't wait 'til the morning).
fresh oil...

painting sneak pic...

The painting is all done... drying in the basement. I'll show you the whole thing properly once it's ready to take it's rightful place behind the couch:)This, of course, is a portrait of my girls and a reminder that time flies and they are this way only for a short while. I'm happy with the way it turned out:)

tiny painting...
How can a busy girl squeeze in an oil painting into her intense schedule. Simple. Make it a very small oil painting:) In fact, this is the smallest oil painting I've ever done - only 8x8". My girls, their school and autumn have been large on my mind - thus the theme. I hope to make more of these little squares.... 'cause it's fun!WISHING YOU A SUPER DUPER WEEKEND!
