summer bloom...

Summer is in full bloom... hot humid colorful bloom. Kids smell like sunscreen and all the freckles are out... I love it! I love summer... and I'm going to take some time off and enjoy it:)

love in a cup...

I've been a huge fan of Yoshitomo Nara for years. He is the master of angry-cute and cuddly. I adore his wall art, puppy sculptures and everything... everything he does!
So it's not surprising that I had to have this darling pup in a cup:)

I feel like a potted plant... looking out the window while I work.

wish come true toys...

Sure I got these bunch of cuties for my kids... but (not so secretly) I wanted to play with them myself. I've been a fan of 'Friends With You' for a long time. Their brand of magic is a hit with kids and adults (juvenile adults like me) alike:)

a real weekend...

I've had a real weekend this weekend! Walking downtown, going bowling with friends, Anais's birthday party, family, no work.... just the best!

Anais is turning 4 this Sunday... and getting her first real birthday party! This should be fun!

savouring summer...

Holy Moly! The end of June is on the horizon... and here I am, wasting the precious sunshiny days behind Mr. Mac... hoping that in the bright and near future, I could take the summers off altogether... and cross off that 'nothing' from my to do list during the beautiful warm days of summer:)

my sweet treats color me puzzle...

Sharing my sweet treats color me puzzle (here) with you today. I love the way it turned out!
It comes in 24 pieces (two sided) and with 5 jumbo wipe-off crayons to color the black and white side:)
It's been two weeks since I've tasted chocolate or any other sugary goodness (so...looking at this puzzle is bittersweet:).

fruits, nuts and vegetables...

This pattern is a result of me being preoccupied (at the moment) with eating healthy and being heathy. Hoping this phase lasts (without an undesirable side effect of an obsession). But really... I just like drawing fruits, nuts and vegetables:)

she's all that...

I've been gouaching.
Isn't she's all that and a box of puppies:)

Today is the fifth day since I've quit almost everything I love (but that isn't good for me) and started on my hypoallergenic diet in order to get better. You can see, by the above images that I'm loosing my mind already:) I've never consumed so many raw vegetables in such a short period of time... and in such variety...

These sweet cards are going to be available on August 18th, but since they are on the CHRONICLE BOOKS site and I've seen them in the flesh at the Stationery show... I figured I'll share with you:)

a happy bookplate...

Adding another bookplate to my collection. Feel free to copy and use in your vintage treasures or new classics:)

To copy: click on the image - it will open up in its own window at a high resolution (300dpi-true size). Copy that to your desktop and enjoy:) You could make them smaller if you'd like.

this is a...

My recent obsession : The 'This IS' series by author and illustrator Miroslav Sasek. So far I got 'This is Rome' & 'This is New York' (which I picked up in the big apple itself:)

my little neighbours...

My neighbourhood is full of kids and I like it that way. It's been hot and muggy. I keep the window in my office wide open... eavesdropping on all sorts of hilarious conversations between 5-9 y. olds:) This pattern is in a way... inspired by it.
