back to school bookplates . . .

I'm not ready yet to say farewell to the summer, but the new school year is on the horizon. Got to start getting ready for the yellow busses, runny noses and lost and maybe found. Aaah... where did the time go?

sweet little trip to Toronto . .

First stop - TORONTO zoo. I watched my girls watching the animals. The animals were not looking very happy... as it was a hot day and they were, well...living in the zoo. I've made up a whole other 'imaginary' zoo inside my head while we were there. Mine had the Yetis:).

Then we went to AGO to see Picasso exhibit. I loved it! My favourite goat sculpture was 'present' and the smell of artistic cockiness was good for my timid lungs. Couldn't take pictures of the exhibit... but AGO itself doesn't disappoint. Exit hall is like a belly of a ship. Felt swallowed by the building... in a good way:).

and... lastly I visited with Carolyn... lovely wine and conversation... and not enough of either:). Planning on another trip... so I can pick up where I left off.

porcelain dreams . . .

impossible things . . .

Have you done seven and a half impossible things before breakfast? Well, neither did I. Chances are, I was sleeping while you were having breakfast. Doesn't stop me from making a busy colourful pattern about those impossible things I haven't done... before or after breakfast..:) 

a walk in the woods . . .

Good, old fashioned walk in the woods could clear your head and make it all bear-able:).

tea talk . . .

Have breakfast with me... tea? coffee? sandwich? apple? Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. I think sometimes I go to bed happy... knowing that a hot cup of tea or coffee is going to be there in the morning:).

Delightful surprise in the mail today... a package via LUFTPOST... a lovely tin box from ZEIXS... containing 52 cards illustrated by a bouquet of artists... such fun artists!

Flora's Forest is out for iPad ! ! !

I'm very exited to share this bit of news with you! Flora's Forest - an iPad book for kids I've had pleasure illustrating - is finally out!!!  It's a musical and interactive book for children 3 and up and It's available in the app store for you to download. my jumbo clicks magnets by iPop . . .

A very happy little package arrived at my door this afternoon. It contained samples of the jumbo sized magnets iPop (the Madison Park Group) has created with my illustrations. I really love the way they turned out!
Sadly, my fridge door isn't magnetic... I'll have some other place to stick them on:)

delicious summer pattern . . .

Fresh pattern... straight from the market:). So far, this summer has been busy, hot and delicious. Here... I'm looking on the bright side and concentrating on delicious.

I've been too busy to do much personal work lately.... except this pink dog with an inside-out apple (here)... just to let you know that I'm keeping it weird.

Last week has been just as busy as this pattern. Wall to wall. I've got a really fun project on my hands and it's keeping me mighty busy... but, I just had to stop and make a pattern. I wonder if I have an addiction:).
