inside a fantasy . . .

I am an incurable 'look forward to' kind of person. I've been hibernating inside a fantasy summer world of gardens and sunshine this entire winter (that just wouldn't give up). All that thinking of green and yellow always results in something friendly and botanical. I hope you'll like these new water colours.

Makerie . . . Pattern Workshop . . .

This year, I know exactly what I'll be doing on my birthday! On April 11th I'll be teaching a Pattern Workshop class at the Makerie retreat in Boulder (Colorado). 

I look forward to it and hope some of you will join me in this experience! Let's pattern together in April!

It's way too early to celebrate spring... but, at least it isn't February anymore:).

new Studio Oh! Botanical Bloom notebooks . . .

I've got some notebooks in the mail today from Studio Oh! Yeay! 

So... I took a few pictures to share with you (in the only place in the house with enough light... my little plant corner).

I'm here to cheer you up today with my new work:). Tell you that - Good Things Will Come. Spring will come. It's kind of my version of 'hang on, kitty'. 

happy colours . . .

I'm back from two glorious weeks in Aruba... back to snow and ice... readjusting to 'normal' the best I can, and trying not to throw "I want to go back" tantrums too often:).
This new print is inspired by the colours I saw in Aruba and by how I felt on the happy island.

vacation time ! ! !

All packed and ready to go. One more day of snow and ice left... before I get to see the sand and the sun again! We only see each other once a year - but ours is a glorious friendship. The sand doesn't mind my uber white body (the illustration is where the wishful thinking comes in) reading on it. I don't mind it getting into places from which sand might not return:). Girls are also beside themselves with anticipation. We all need some cold and snow free family time.  
I'll see you all mid February... hopefully, all full of vitamin D and the will to illustrate tirelessly for the rest of the year.

For all you night creatures out there... a moonlight walk print is my show and tell today:).

birthday wrap ! . . .

Lola will be turning 12 in a couple of weeks... but we'll be on vacation and there will be no reason to make little birthday invitations for all her friends. So... I made this birthday pattern instead!
