it aint over...:)

Well... not everything was coming up helen... yesterday. Gouache was being very bossy. She was telling me - "Helen, you have to plan... think it through... choose your colors ahead... sketch. Spontaneity doesn't cut the mustard in this case." I was telling her - "Sweety, I have ADD and three children... work with me here:)"
In the end, this portrait of Lola dancing is the only thing I can show.
I'll be at it again. I will make make friends with gouache:)
(Gouache, if you are reading my blog... " I love your smooth buttery texture and how fast you dry. See ya soon:)

Helen, I think gouache already likes you very much! She seems to be good friends with you as Lola's portrait came out perfect! I love it! And the texture in the background is gorgeous! thumbs up to you and gouache! ;)

my gouache has been wanting me to come play too but I just keep piling stuff in front of her to muffle the voice. This piece looks great!

Oh! About the print in my blog: The author of the illustration is Pija Lindenbaum and the book is Bridget and the Gray Wolves :)

I think it turned out great. I tried out gouache again last after forgeting about it for decades. It was kind of fun. Maybe I'll get it out and give it another go this week.
