I've been having some fun with watercolors yesterday. An unplanned fun. My eyes were hurting from too much warm computery glow... and I had to 'step away' from the screen. All for good though.... 'cause otherwise, the vegetable friends would never see the light of day:)

I love them! I don't know how you can keep the background seperate from the foreground -- I guess I might be a little impatient and not let my paints dry as much as I should before I put on another color. They are wonderful!
Darling... I just love your whimsical style and color pallet. I'm an artist too and I'm blown away by your creativity/style/dedication. As someone that struggles to get my ideas in my head to look good on paper I was hoping to ask you some advice. I can see that you're a master in Adobe Illustrator... and I'm soooo far from that... are you able to just freehand your amazing designs or do you scan a sketch in and go from there? If you don't want to say I totally respect that... I just can seem to master this program... I guess I just need to take a few more classes. Anywho, just love love your work. Thanks so much for putting it out there for us to enjoy.
Dear Lindsey:)
I freehand with a pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator using my mouse. Play around with it - you'll get the hang of it:)
These are lovely, Helen!
The vegetable friends are really CUTE, but my favorite just might be the mother/daughter (?) one. Or, at least, it looks like a mother and her daughter... I suppose that it could be two sisters (one older than the other), or an aunt and her niece, or school mates (one taller than the other), or a neighbor lady just standing with a little girl from down the street... Whatever the case, it's very nice!
You seem so versatile that I'm left wondering, is there ANY media that you don't do well with?
