KLUTZ-my top 5 book!

I spent a month last summer working on this book and it's finally out! I got my samples today! Yeah! The book is called My All Time Top 5. It's for 8-12 y. o. girls who like making lists. There are 5 illustrators featured in this book. Each got 10 pages (mine are p.37- 46). I really liked working on this project. At one point  I had to replace Samuel L. Jackson with Will Smith and that was a bummer ('cause I really liked my S.L.Jackson). I'm really pleased with the way the book turned out.

What, it's only for 8-12 year olds. But I want to do my top 5's as well. :-D You have such an awesome job!

I wish you would write a Children's book, using your illustrations, patterns. A book that someone would put on the bookself in that 'SPECIAL' place where all can see. Wouldn't that be fabulous?

Thank you all!!! I did think of writing my own book many many times. I even started a few times, but than bread and butter type things just take over and I don't have enough time to do the kind of job I want to do. But, I'm certainly going to make one in the next 2 years! That would be great fun! H:)

You are just amazing!! I'll be watching for this book to hit store shelves here in Alaska for my two girls. They'll love it. :) I've been following your blog, and am totally infatuated with your whimsical art.

I love your Samuel L Jackson - he is tres funky!

I think I might quite like this book - although I am slighter older than the recommended age.

I'll take Samuel L. Jackson over Will Smith any day! What a bummer... didn't they care about the street cred? Kid's are weird.

Oh, I love it! I looks great. You are very talented. It is funny because I used to work as a designer for a company called Walter Foster Publishing. They are an art publishing company with "How To's..." in case you didn't know. Klutz was our biggest competitor in the kids market. They have wonderful products.

Top 5's are not age limited. Have they never read/watched High Fidelity?! Anyway, aside from appealing to my list-making personality, the book looks fantastic. I love the hand-drawn type 'TV movies & munchies'. And you can't beat a cookie in a beret.

That is so funny, Helen!!! Who is your contact there? Is Sydney still there? Good luck on the project. I am sure it will be great. Can't wait to see the end results.
