Hello New Year!

I'm happy to welcome this shiny new year! As always - I expect to be better at everything this year and I shell try my best. Last night, while celebrating new years arrival I've eaten a small bucket of eclairs (cream puffs) and drank way more Champagne than a small human should - so, I'm already better at those two things:). Also, I've joined Instagram... so there - three things down (and 97 more to go). Oh..oh... I also made a new print (see above).

Off to See the Wizard . . .

It has been such a long while since I've blogged... I've started to forget how much fun it is to share work with you. All I've been huffing and puffing over in the past few weeks isn't ready for the show & tell... and it might be a long time until I can blog about it.
There's still a lot to do, but I had to stop everything today and do a personal piece... if only to remember that I can. Hope you like it:).

wild foxy darlings . . .

It's been a 'wall to wall' kind of couple of weeks. Almost impossible to squeeze any kind of personal work in... but I managed! It  keeps me sane... working on personal pieces:). Things will calm down in October. Already, girls are settled into their school routines and peace has returned to the casa (at least until 4pm). I'm going to look at the bright side and plow ahead.

Celestial Tiger . . .

Took a break from my projects to make this celestial dream illustration. I've been reading "Ender's Game" and thinking about vast blackness of space... you can tell, can't you:).

curious souls . . .

Took this weekend into my own hands and spent some serious time creating personal work. This new print is the result. Whatever day you are having... I hope it brightens it:).

I spy with my little eye . . . sweet little strawberries . . .

Last weekend we went strawberry picking. It was delicious fun. Some of the strawberries were eaten right there in the farm field... some became a part of a refreshing summer treat - Margaritas:)... and some reincarnated into sweet strawberry jam. I love love love strawberries!.. thus, the new print!

New York . . . my impression . . .

As I was sitting in a soup of frustrated and disappointed people (also known as LaGuardia Airport)... trying to find a silver lining to the endless delays of my flight home - I remembered that I brought my laptop (to whom I lovingly refer to as Silvester - due to his colour and stature). I took it out, put it on my lap... plugged in the mouse and proceeded to execute my New York experience in vector... while sitting on a black pleather LGA chair. A 7 year old boy named Archie (who has been driving his poor mother up the airport wall... and whom I've lent my iPad in the hope of focusing his energy on something else) was sitting beside me and commentating on his every game move. I was more than entertained. Me and Archie put in a few hours of work ... side by side. The result of my efforts are now a print (see above).

nature & magic . . .

I would love to spend a day in one of Hayao Miyazaki's movies... walking with forest spirits or chasing Totoros. This print is a bit of a tribute to that lovely mix of all things nature and magic.

Run Wild, Kitty . . .

I've got big plans for when the good weather finally comes around. I'll be spending all the 'non work' time outside... maybe, even do all the e-mailing on a hammock (which I still need to acquire). I've been a house plant for too long. Common warm weather! Hurry!:) I even made a print about it:).
