Tuileries at LAGOM . . .

I've got some fabulous news to share with you today! My card collection is now available at lagom! The collection is titled Tuileries and includes 12 cards that feature some of my favourite patterns. So happy to be a part of the wonderful lagom shop!

sweet little forest . . .

A shower of forest animals coming at you... destined to entertain babies while they are drooling on their onesies... I think. Or, maybe, this is future stationery. Hope it's both and then some...

my surtex flyer 2011 . . .

Made a little flyer for the upcoming Surtex show in NYC. I'm dizzy with anticipation.

color study . . .

It's been raining... and raining... and raining... but it's warmer. Brings in the warm grey feelings. I decided to do a little bright color study on top of some photographs I took recently... to cheer up the greys... a little:)

opaque and vibrant . . .

I've been watercoloring again... for fun... treating it a bit like gouache. It comes out opaque and very vibrant:)

Looks like I'll have to wait a bit longer until 'toomuchery' show and tell, and replace my excitement with patience for the time being:)

I think this pattern has a future in a wrapping business:) Present wrapping that is... My girls love this one!

colors revisited . . .

Combing through all that has been done in the past 12 months (in preparation for Surtex) I found a few patterns that were asking for me to change them:) ... not too much - just a little on the color side of things. Sort of a spring facelift.

Sometimes, when you work on something for hours, your color perspective gets clouded... but a few months apart brings on a new, clearer vision.

So, all I've been watercoloring lately are girls in gardens...but you'll forgive me - because it's my birthday and because I know you are looking forward to green grass and bright flowers as much as I do... right?:)

spring patterns for Family Fun magazine . . .

Instead of April showers I woke up to April snow today (melted already... but I'm whining about it anyway:)... However, in the good news department: patterns and illustrations I did for Family Fun magazine a couple of months ago are now out in the spring craft issue.

As I was working on a banner for surtex this print... well it just came out. It must have needed to come into existence.
