How awesome is flickr!? I love coming across such visual treasures like these japanese matchbox lables (1920-1940). They look like mini posters to me. In fact, I'd like to enlarge them and hang them up:)

Here's some matchbox geekery for you! Found all this goodness on flickr - Mid Century Modern - Sticker, Label + Stamp Club (pool). I especially love the pipe smocking cat:)

These make me wish I had a gas stove (although, I remember how stressful it was ,as a kid, to light it).

Hooray for flickr! I found these neat vintage matchboxes here and had to share it. Lighters just can't hold a candle to these charming little containers. I wish I had a gas stove, so I could display them.
