I've been planning to show you a few pictures from SURTEX for a few days now... but this darn cold I brought back from New York was making me less super:(. It's been such a good trip and such a good show this year. 

odd encounters in NY . . .

Well, I have a feeling you weren't expecting this post:)... but, before I go into how Surtex went I'd like to 'show and tell' you my little encounter with Terry Richardson (the rockstar of photography) in Manhattan last Saturday. At first... I forgot my name, his name and where my tongue is located. Fortunatly, a friend who was with me asked Terry to pose for a photo. Phew, now I have this odd meeting documented and shared:).

Maybe this print is a little on a strange side, but I like it.. I had a lot of fun making it. Hope it makes you smile too:)

put it in a vase . . .

These really are the only plants I have ever been able to grow. They don't need watering, sunshine or dusting... and, therefore, are perfect plants! Also, they come with their own shelf. How's that for convenience:). You can find them here.

I know I'll wake up on Sunday to hand drawn cards and paper flowers... maybe even real flowers... and  a whole lot of love. Something to look forward to:). Nothing makes me happier than my girls. I'm wishing you a Happy Mother's Day Sunday with this bold floral pattern!

Berries & Spice . . . and everything nice

These colours work on me much like the ginger in japanese restaurant. They cleanse the palate for calmer, more easy going pattern. I have high hopes for this kitchen pattern. Would love to (one day) wipe my hands on this pattern... in my kitchen:).

It's almost mother's day and I'm a bit late with my MOM LOVE print this year. Well, better late than never. Hope you like it:).

wild woods . . .

So, the woods aren't really that colourful in May... and the squirrels aren't pink ... but, who wants to be in reality all of the time anyway? You are here to escape the greyness.

blue braid & red berries . . .

Just wanted to share with you my love for Rorstrand ceramics and dessert. These blue plates make just about everything look delicious:).

Sometimes, the best colour combination comes later. I see it better if I step away... take a month long breath... and look at it with new eyes.
