my new ceramic man . . .

Meet the new ceramic man in my life... Mr. White Russian:) Oh... I love him so. He's a decanter, designed by Lagardo Tackett in the 50s for Kahlua.
Despite what any serious collector would think - I've washed off all the labels and removed the cork. I like him better when he's clean and shiny:)

my little find...

Wanted to show you this little vintage (1920s) ceramic necklace I found on etsy a little while ago. Or, maybe it found me. A little family (just like mine - minus the dog and the hilarious black moustache)... I wear it whenever I can. Better than silver and gold it is...

The summer is quickly evaporating. Sad, ha:(.... before it completely disappears into the thin air... I'll show you these 2 dresses I've had pleasure purchasing from a super awesome etsy store meli-melon! Made with love in Barcelona - these dresses were just too pretty to pass by...
My kids wardrobe is certainly better than mine now. I'm a little jealous:)

smart...

Don't you just love it when things  you love come together :) Chocolate and Pattern... mmmm. Delicious and Smart. Couldn't resist showing you this wrapped darkness from the Mast Brothers (Brooklyn based artisan chocolate brand). The Brothers adopted existing wrapping paper and added their label to it. Clever:)
All I really want to do now is design patterns for the chocolate packaging!
Dear Willy Wonkas of the world - please consider me for your next delicious product!

it's March!

March is here!!! Yeah! Means a couple of things to me. One - the snow will start melting soon, &  two - time for a lighter coat and a beret (at least around here).
A few months ago I came across an Etsy store called tiny-toadstool and I've been thinking about their fabulous berets ever since. They are so graphic and adorable at the same time. I imagine going skating in one of these dotted toadstools:)

my kind of stable:)

Top of the morning to you all! Today I'd like to share with you this very fun piece (nativity scene) by Massimo Giacon (ALESSI)! My very own was delivered on Friday. I must say that I'm not religious by any stretch of that word, but this really amuses and delights me:) I simply love it!
On a less positive note... I fell down on Saturday while carrying a sound system up the stairs and bruised the hell out of my right hand. I'm typing with my left, and it's taking a while. So... I'm taking it easy and having a little break from work... I'm sure it will get all better in a few days:)

pillowing...

Today I feel it's the kind of day when this hilarious invention could come in very handy. At least these are my pre-coffee thoughts:) Here's the link to where I found this wearable pillows.

fun find:)

I love calendars. I love bubble wrap. Someone finally put these two together!  Hooray for Bubble calendar!
It is a poster size calendar (48"x18"). You can order one here. This would make a great present for the minimalist that likes to pop bubbles in your family:)

fun prints on Etsy...

Maybe you've seen these two print stores on Etsy, or maybe you didn't... in any case - they are great!
Hsinping Pan is one of my new favorite illustrators (check that awesome portfolio here) and now she has a store on Etsy.
Amanda Kindregan has been amusing me with her awesome artwork for a while now. I love her gouache creations. The girl with the rats nest on her head (refusing to brush) is exactly what my Lola looks and acts like every morning.

pass the album, please...

Sorry for such late entry today... I had to prioritize against you and get some work done. Work, mmm... who does she think she is... always getting in between me and blogging... kidding:)
Last week, while googling (researching) some instrument, I came accross this little library of RECORD ENVELOPS. The site is designed and managed by illustrator Kavel Rafferty. I really enjoyed looking through it (being the retro geek that I am), so it is a must share.

prefab modern for birds:)

I know it's kind of late in the season to be thinking about bird houses... but check out this affordable little eco shack:)
I got two, and the girls had so much fun putting them together and painting them! Now we just need to find the best location for these cardboard (water repellent) sheltaroonies:)

fun find:)

I had a ton of fun browsing through sarit shani hay (design studio based in Tel Aviv) site. I love their fresh approach to interior and the playfulness of it all:) Who doesn't want a whale in their living room? Oh, and the mushroom stools... honestly, kid heaven! I got to find a way to get these 'face' pillows into my house. Such fun:)

splurge:)

Well, today I've decided, what the heck, we only live once, I'm buying the Pantone chairs for the girls! These lime ones are on sale at MoMa and I just couldn't help myself. Lil splurge:) I'm sure the girls are going to love them (as you could see I'm already picturing it)! Now I just need to get the adult versions and we would be all set. One of these days...:)
