happy colours . . .

I'm back from two glorious weeks in Aruba... back to snow and ice... readjusting to 'normal' the best I can, and trying not to throw "I want to go back" tantrums too often:).
This new print is inspired by the colours I saw in Aruba and by how I felt on the happy island.

color sketching . . .

I had these pretty colors inside my head and I didn't know what to do with them... so I sketched them out. These are free-floating pattern thoughts you are looking at:).

color study . . .

It's been raining... and raining... and raining... but it's warmer. Brings in the warm grey feelings. I decided to do a little bright color study on top of some photographs I took recently... to cheer up the greys... a little:)

color inspiration...

Today, among other things, I'm working on a fun kitchen pattern. I'm drawing my inspiration from the little mod trio in my kitchen (see above). Yes, it's an avocado, mustard and burnt orange sandwich. Yummm! 

colors in the rain

It's been a pretty rainy summer so far. I complain, but... look how the rain makes everything look fresh and vibrant. Made this photo of Lola and Margo outside in the rain last weekend. Orange, Green, Blue... aaah:)
