psikhouvanjou nesting dolls . . .

It is surreal to see your designs take form in three dimensions!
The flat (vector) Goldielocks has gone into the woods to visit some friends... and acquired some serious curves along the way :).
Check out these nesting dolls here.

ta da!

I'm dropping in to show you what's making me happy this wintery Friday:) It's my very own Alexander Girard Vitra doll. I love it so much! What a shot of colour for the living room. One day (when I find a suitcase full of money that someone conveniently forgot on my doorstep) I'll get the rest of these lovely Girard dolls.
Happy friday to you - and a great weekend!

a must share...

Take a look at these one of a kind hand crafted cuties from MISAKO MIMOKO (etsy store). These adorable plushies lovingly put together by Eva Monleon in a beautiful city of Barcelona. She makes me want to go grab a needle and make something.
Ahhhh.... no time for crafting lately... The blanket of work has covered me whole. For now it is all just dreams and plans... and quiet admiration of this misako mimoko plush:)

lil' reunion:)

Today my "little gang" of toys has returned home. I've made these about a year ago as sample plush. They've been visiting the Lilla Rogers Studio in Boston, and a few other fun places. The girls welcomed them back like they were long last and looked for relatives. I could hear them playing downstairs as I type this post. They are in for a lot of love:)

cheburashka...

While in Odessa, under pretense that I have kids and they like toys, I've visited every toy store I could find. In most places they still sell the plush versions of the cartoon characters from my childhood. It brought a lot of sense to my weird taste in plush. Cheburashka was one of my favorite characters when I was a kid. He was a misfit toy that didn't know who he was in the beginning, but found himself with the help of friends. I couldn't resist buying him. Turned out - the only thing I bought for myself on the trip. My girls think he's weird. Weird is good:)

Meet Lolee:)

Meet Lolee! Lolee is the kind of girl that could crash your tea party anytime! Do you like her? Well... not like she cares. She knows she's adorable.
If I had any kind of time worth speaking of, I would make Lolee into a real doll. I feel like the fairy from Pinokio all of a sudden. Well, off to real work with me...
